Terms of Use
Effective date: May 16, 2026 · Last updated: May 16, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DevBook website at devbook.digital and the DevBook application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by DevBook Digital ("DevBook," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use DevBook. If you are using DevBook on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of unauthorized use of your account, notify us immediately at kristie@devbook.digital.
3. Plans and Pricing
Free trial. All new accounts receive a 14-day free trial of DevBook with full access. No credit card is required to start.
Solo plan. After the trial period, individual users pay $3 per month to continue using DevBook.
Pro plan. Teams pay $19 per month for unlimited team members with access to shared templates, a shared API key vault, and priority support.
Billing. Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
Price changes. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice by email. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use DevBook for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use DevBook to store or transmit malicious code
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Use DevBook to violate the terms of any third-party API you connect to
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute DevBook without our written consent
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Your Data
Ownership. You own your data. Templates, API keys, and configurations you create belong to you. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content.
API keys. API keys you store in DevBook are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest. You are responsible for the API keys you store and the API calls you make through DevBook. DevBook acts as a tool to send requests on your behalf — we are not responsible for how third-party APIs process those requests.
Shared workspaces. If you create or join a team workspace, templates and vault keys shared in that workspace are accessible to all members. When a member is removed, their access to shared resources is revoked. Individual account data remains with the user.
Data portability. You may export your templates at any time. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. DevBook is provided "as is" and "as available." We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or emergencies. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- DevBook is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- DevBook is not liable for any loss of data, revenue, or profits
- DevBook is not responsible for the behavior, availability, or responses of third-party APIs you access through the Service
- Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DevBook Digital and its founder from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party API's terms of service.
9. Intellectual Property
The DevBook name, logo, website design, and application code are the property of DevBook Digital. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or code without permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described here.
10. Termination
By you. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your payment fails and is not resolved within 14 days, or if required by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before termination except in cases of abuse or legal obligation.
11. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma. Before filing a formal dispute, you agree to first contact us at kristie@devbook.digital and attempt to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of DevBook after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with changes, you may cancel your account.
